Subsequent to that, Molson Canadian stood up for all of us good Canadians and showed thanks by buying upstate NY fans a round of beer.
The company said in a statement:
“Molson Canadian saw it as hockey fans doing what Canadians do best, showing up for each other when it matters…”
Then the company went out and covered rounds of beers for fans in a handful of Buffalo-area bars and times “as a thank you for the anthem moment and for cheering the Canadians who were playing...”
