The turkey tail mushroom:
Very good in garlicky soups. I’ve used them to crust pot roasts. Plus one on that usage.
But according to an interesting new study, these elegant and tasty fungi may also be highly useful on the other side of the “eating” equation: acting as a potential filter and controlling mechanism against E. coli at both a negligible cost and an easily achievable scale.
