Today we have this little inspiring story from Texas.
The lede basically says it all:
A group of fifth-graders in Texas pooled their allowances and raised donations to buy their colorblind classmate special glasses to allow him to see color, according to a report.
This reminds me of the story for one of (maybe all of?) Christopher Reeve’s kids. William. When his father passed on, his Connecticut neighbors took care of Will through High School ensuring that the disruption was as mitigated as possible.
But back today’s good thing, it’s often lamented how social media has replaced neighborhoods and local friendships. Maybe not everywhere.
That’s today’s good thing. Tomorrow there will be another.
