Zaha Hadid was an architect who picked up on many of these themes and aesthetics and updated it via CAD and her own unique sensibilities.
I came across this article, which celebrates Hadid’s Bergisel Ski Jump as a major monument of modern architecture. But I prefer her Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku.
Yes, today’s good thing is in Azerbaijan, a real masterwork that exists despite some dubious details surrounding its commission. (We won’t discuss that.)
