Sit back and be enthralled by the spectacle of Moose Marching...

So, one of my favorite odd recent loves is the Moments of Zen channel and interstitials on YouTubeTV. These are basically broad shots of landscapes, water or other serene environments. When pressed the Owl vignette is tops for me, but alas it’s not available to show here.

Anyway, these moments are emblematic of a trend in TV watching that mostly dates to the late 2000s. Slow TV.

Though NRK in Norway (Norwegian state-run, government-influenced radio and television public broadcasting company) is largely credited with popularizing modern slow TV – the 2009 broadcast of the Bergen to Oslo train journey often cited as a pivotal moment – I believe the genre has reached a mesmerizing zenith in "The Great Moose Migration."
