Today’s good thing is a video. The car of the video is a lowland gorilla currently residing at Ueno Zoological Gardens in Tokyo, Japan named Haoko. He was born in the Netherlands on August 21, 1993 Haoko gets today’s post because of his fatherly antics.

Gorillas are captivating when they emulate humans in striking ways. It’s the ending of King Kong in a nutshell. But for Haoko, what makes his amazing is his love of spending time with his off-spring. A love and tendency that often runs afoul of his mate, so abductions and escapes become both heart-warming and fun.
