Even without a long anticipated breakthrough in fusion, energy costs (thanks to collapsing solar panel prices among others) are dropping very quickly. This allows us to envision the opportunities that cheap and abundant energy offer across industries.

There is nowhere where this is more promising than with regard to desalination.

There are still hurdles. Like taste and how to deal with the excessive amounts of salt left over from this process, but this will solve major issues in our global fight against water scarcity.
