Community
I have a belief that people like community, rituals and regularity. It’s kind of at the core of the Cheers theme song, a place where you can go where people all know your name.
It’s a song about bar regulars. Today’s good thing is about restaurant regulars in the Florida Panhandle.
Today’s Good Thing takes us to this place:
It’s the Shrimp Basket, a regional chain restaurant with a decently reviewed franchise nestled in Pensacola, Florida. At this restaurant there was one particular customer who every day made the same order. After a while such activity led to recognition, then it led to friendship and camaraderie. Then it led to the saving of a life.
That’s today’s Good Thing in a nutshell, the specifics after the paywall.
